2017 TeamKids Easter appeal raises >$1M
TeamKids – Women’s & Children’s Hospital Foundation would like to thank everyone for their kind generosity in supporting the TeamKids Easter Appeal which was held on Good Friday, 14 April 2017. Contributions made helped reach a tally in excess of the $1 million target, with the current tally of funds pledged at $1,587,337.
Funds raised as part of this year’s Appeal will go towards a range of projects including the TeamKids Arts in Health program, a purpose-built and fully furnished Beach House in Victor Harbor for use by families with a child requiring palliative care or with complex care needs, and a revolutionary new cancer research project known as CAR-T.
“There were so many highlights this year and we are overwhelmed by the generosity of the South Australian community, the talented performers, and volunteers who gave up their time over Easter to support this important cause. In 2017, for the first time, we enlisted the help of six Young Ambassadors who co-hosted the Appeal. Clara, Lauren, Jessica, Tara, Josh and Jordan are all ex-patients of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital (WCH).
