Professor Allison Cowin

Professor Allison Cowin is a Professor of Regenerative Medicine and research leader in wound healing and regenerative biology and Deputy Director of UniSA’s Future Industries Institute. Allison is internationally renowned for her work on the cytoskeletal protein Flightless I and how it negatively impacts on tissue repair. She obtained her PhD in Molecular Endocrinology at the University of Manchester before moving to Australia in 1996. She now leads a group of 12 research scientists and students investigating all aspects of wound healing and regenerative biology at the Future Industries Institute at the University of South Australia in Adelaide.
